I have known Tibby (short for Tibby Tabby) for many years. She belonged to my close friend Pam. According to Pam, she must be now in her early twenties. She originally belonged to one of her neighbours who unfortunately died and Pam took her in. That was seven years ago. When Pam died eighteen months ago I was left Tibby in her will. I was also left several other things including her house. Little did Pam know she would become the benefactor of Diggle and the money I would get from the sale of her house would be used and placed in a trust to ensure that Diggle remained as an animal shelter after my death, but what was I to do about Tib Tabs?
Due to Tibby's age and yes again I was faced by a cat that disliked other cats, she would find it extremely difficult to relocate either at my home or up at Diggle. The only answer was to keep her in situ. So yes, the house is being kept on until the demise of Tibby. That means an extra journey for me every day at teatime. We spend quality time together watching Countdown, Deal Or No Deal and the first part of the Paul O'Grady Show to see Buster! Two of my friends, Ruth and Maureen who live in Plymouth pop up on several occasion throughout the year and stay with Tibby who is the hostess with the mostest and she enjoys their company. With being a very old cat she spends quite a lot of time sleeping and as you can see from her photographs being on her own is not presenting any hardships.
Recently, I have been to my solicitor to sign my will and since Tibby has seen off two owners I debated as to whether to include her in mine!!!
