Again Christy Tips is a Tameside and Glossop RSPCA refugee. She was picked up in Mossley wandering around busy roads. In that community there is an active feral colony and apparently, our Christy Tips fancied being apart of this. She as you can see from her photograph she is a beautiful cat however, like Bella Donna she can be aggressive towards people and her mood is very unpredictable.
A phone call was made to and I was asked if she could become a Diggler as she could not be re-homed due to her temperament.
She stayed with me for four years up at Diggle until she developed sores on the tips of her ear. On taking her to the vet she was diagnosed with skin cancer and had to have a section of her ear removed. Every day I put sun block on her ears as she loved being outside in the garden. However, it developed again and most of her ear had to be removed. The only answer was to keep her away from the sun, therefore I removed her to my home where she is quite happy but not allowed to go out in the sun. She has been at my house for two years and fortunately there is no sign of the reappearance of the cancer.
