Freda came down from the moors and became encamped in the field next to mine. She stayed their for about eighteen months. When my shearer was due to arrive, I became concerned about this sheep and she had at least two years growth of fleece. I knew if she went back on the moors she would never survive, her fleece was too thick and when wet would prove too heavy for her to walk. I decided to entice her onto my patch, that didn't take too much effort and she joined my crew. When the shearer arrive she to was treated to a trim. I am sure she felt much better and she has been with me ever since. As I freed her from the other field and her enormous fleece, that became her name!!
